Savanna Lacy 3.0

Whisky Magazine declared this the top blended whisky globally in 2012. I'm not entirely convinced. It's superior to Johnnie Walker Red or Famous Grouse, but Johnnie Walker Black or Double Black far outperform it. Still, it's a solid buy for about $10 locally.

Ellis Lowe 5.0

Nose - Peaty (band-aids, antiseptic), plantain, unripe apple, pome fruit, sweet cream. Taste - Full vanilla, raisin notes. Exit - Moderate duration, sugariness from vanilla and orchard fruit. 43% ABV An excellent value whisky, priced below 200 ZAR.

Emery Box 3.0

Peaty and smoky on the nose with a hint of fruitiness and vanilla. The vanilla and American oak are very prominent on the palate with a touch of pear. A medium lingering finish of smoke and vanilla.

Ronny Loyd 4.0

Nose: Strong, Smoke, Fruit, Oak, Shortbread Palate: Ripe pears, Spiciness, Peaty Finish: Fully peaty character, fruit, warm spice

Terra Templeton 5.0

Just discovered it in Montreal honestly my new go to for as long as the SAQ can keep the shelves stocked.

I regret acquiring this trash! It might be peated, but I won't be having it again.
