On the nose, there's a hint of smoke, fresh fruit, and caramel. The palate has sweet pears and vanilla. The finish is quick and peppery, with a trace of lingering smoke. It's quite easy to drink considering the price. It has some warmth but lacks the complexity found in other whiskies. I feel the cost was justified by the quality. [Update] — After having the whiskey for a week, I've noticed it seems to lose some of its flavors with each subsequent tasting. It's likely something best enjoyed in a single session. This is simply awful, a blend that leaves a harsh alcohol aftertaste. I cannot recommend it.
This is a smooth, peaty scotch. While peaty scotches aren't usually my preference, I do enjoy this one.
Quite acceptable for an extremely inexpensive blend. It's inoffensive.
Alcohol scent is potent
