For €35, I decided to take a chance on a 12-year-old single malt. My initial impression was a strong peaty character, similar to scotch, but it turned out to be pineapple. It's half-sweet and refreshing, but also feels like it's stripping your taste buds. It tastes okay, but the lingering aftertaste is harsh. Even a small amount meant I could taste it all night. I couldn't finish the bottle over several nights and ended up pouring it out, then buying Green Spot instead. Steer clear.
