About this bottle

Tequila Mi CAMPO Blanco, available from November 2018, is a 100% blue agave tequila. Agaves harvested after seven years of maturity are cooked for 38 hours. Following the extraction of juice from the cooked agaves using a mechanical press, not a tahona, the liquid is fermented in open stainless steel tanks for three to five days. After distillation, the blanco rests for three weeks in French oak Chardonnay barrels from Napa Valley. It is bottled at 80 proof.

Wendy Pantoja 4.0

Served neat. The aroma is subtly sweet with roasted agave, white grapes, orange blossoms, a whisper of oak, and vanilla. The taste includes agave, orange blossom honey, vanilla, a hint of black pepper, and oak. The finish is rather brief, offering tart sweetness, vanilla, and faint oak tannins. It's very smooth and easy to consume. While not the most intricate, its aged-for-a-few-weeks-in-white-wine-barrels character is uniquely pleasant. Excellent value for the cost.

An elegant agave spirit from NOM 1137. It presents an aromatic beginning with hints of agave, citrus, herbs & spices; a rich development adds notes of cooked agave, green bell pepper & lime; leading to a moderately long finish that is slightly creamy & spicy with notes of black pepper, sea spray & metal. Everette Cortez 3.5

Butterscotch aroma, sweet taste but with strong alcohol presence. The finish is dry with hints of white wine (due to barrel finishing).

Quintin Nunes 3.0

Extremely easy to drink. Sweet on the nose, with pepper in the mid-palate and a smooth vanilla finish that carries hints of cream.

Titus Barrientos 4.0

The aging in wine barrels results in a smooth tequila. I detect Chardonnay notes in the finish, which I enjoy.

Braydon Wallace 3.0

It's acceptable. A bit too sweet for my preference when sipping, though it might work well for cocktails or shots.
