Nose: Prominent earthy sherry notes, mild licorice, some wood character. A subtle hint of caramelly malt. Palate: Noticeable earthiness, drying to oak. Also quite strong and sweet sherry. Fruity, but in a way reminiscent of fruit peels or pomace. Finish: A slight astringency from the malt, and some drying oak. Lingering sharp fruitiness.
