- Blended Scotch Whisky - 40% ABV - Contains coloring + filtration - Exclusive to Brazil and India - Successful in northeastern Brazil - Base malt: Ardmore (Highlands - lightly peated) - Double maturation (American and European oak) - Finished in casks previously containing Laphroaig whisky (confirmed by Destilady (Paula Limongi)) - Listen to the Whisky Justificado podcast for the story behind "Golden Thistle" Nose: peat smoke, fresh peat, decaying organic matter, toasted cereals, ash, burnt caramel, burnt coconut, dried fruit (prunes, dates, dried figs), vanilla, light woodiness (both types of oak), subtly wine-like, lemon citrus, honey, and low alcohol perception. Despite being a blend, it has a good finish and very complex aromas. Palate: sweet, oily, robust bitterness, peat smoke and burnt wood, ash, spicy, citrus fruitiness of lemons present but less intense than in the aroma, very light woodiness, and some alcohol warmth. The palate is simpler and less gentle than the aromas, with more evident smoke and bitterness and a drier finish. Finish: medium to long, due to the smoke and oiliness perceived on the palate. Robust tannins dry under the tongue, leaving a taste of ash and dryness, with some residual bitterness. Overall impressions: a relatively complex whisky with excellent value for money. Despite the gentle and intriguing nose, the palate is more robust and untamed, with less roundness and refinement. In its category (12-year-old blend), it's the whisky that delivers the most flavors and aromas, a real powerhouse, but it might not appeal to more casual whisky tasters. I recommend it for neat tasting (for blend fans), with a little water, or with a very large ice cube.

This Whiskey fails to impress whatsoever. There's just a hint of low-grade smoke, making it difficult for me to assign a favorable score.
Not bad. A lot of oak and leather with some mineral and smoke on the finish.
