West Islip Store Pick - Barrel # 415, Barreled: 6/16/16, Bottled: 9/1/20 - Truly amazing! A very distinct flavor profile that's a bit sharper than your average bourbon. I'd be interested to see how another few years would affect this. The mouthfeel is good, sitting between full-bodied and thin. The finish lasts quite a while. There's a touch of bitterness that develops on the back of the tongue during the finish.

I'm sampling a barrel pick at 120 proof. It's a good, classic bourbon with ample caramel, vanilla, wood, and brown sugar. It's rich and deep with a long finish.
The aroma is surprisingly mild; it begins with mellow notes of buttercup and cream, followed by a hint of rye spice on the palate.
Very sweet and new-smelling. Starts creamy and sugary. Tastes like butterscotch candies. A slight peppery heat at the end.
Aroma: campfire, baked apple Taste: campfire smoke, caramel Aftertaste: peppery, citrus peel Silky and packed with flavor
From a community pick. Smells like apple pie. Tastes of butterscotch and sweets.
