Stauning 2015 Port Smoke (Bottled April 2019)

Nose: Fresh oak, grass or similar green plants, a hint of campfire, finishing with tawny port sweetness. Palate: The oak notes are prominent initially, but the tawny port introduces a smooth sweetness that combines vanilla and caramel with some bitter, earthy undertones. This whiskey offers a variety of intriguing notes that I haven't encountered together before, and I'm struggling to precisely describe them. However, I would definitely recommend it to others.

Thick and briny. Not cohesive but still strong and captivating. 88
