About this bottle

Starward is a small distillery located in Melbourne, Australia. The Tawny expression is inspired by an Australian fortified wine style similar to Port from Portugal's Douro Valley. The 100-liter quarter casks used for maturation are supplied by Yalumba, a prominent winery in Australia's Barossa Valley, along with casks from SA Cooperage. Production is limited to 4,000 bottles.

Andrew Woodard 4.0

The nose presents rich 'tawny' port characteristics with ample fruit and spice. It's slightly sharp on the initial taste due to the 48% ABV, but it has an excellent coating and mouthfeel.

Mathias Kenney 3.8

A delightful touch of cinnamon complements this light-bodied drink. Excellent for an old fashioned or mixed with citrus.

Audra Warner 4.0

Nose: Barrel aroma with a touch of salinity. Palate: A slight initial spiciness is enveloped by sweetness. Sweetness has multiple layers.
