From the aroma, even with the modest proof, it was evident this was a well-matured Scotch. Exceptionally well-rounded from beginning to end and packed with taste despite the lower alcohol content. Leans a little lighter, but has lovely notes of rich caramel and toffee to push it toward the richer end rather than purely light & floral. Excellent harmony of tastes and a superb drink. Would I drink it if offered? - Yes Would I specifically order it? - Yes Would I buy a bottle? - Yes

About this bottle
The Knockdhu Distillery, established by John Morrison in 1892 on the Knock estate in Aberdeenshire, produces anCnoc whiskies (pronounced "a-nock"). The 35-year-old single malt is presented in an all-white tube featuring minimalist, monochrome graphics, including a depiction of the Knock Hill, from which the Highland spring water feeding every anCnoc whisky originates. Aged in both Spanish and American oak, this whisky is bottled at 44.3% ABV cask-strength without artificial coloring or chill-filtration. It is not distributed in the U.S.
