The nose starts with apricot immediately – definitely a high rye content. Some rum sweetness, pleasant oak / a subtle cigar box note, and some vanilla. The flavor is fantastic. Vanilla whipped cream fruit with an incredibly smooth mouthfeel. No harsh notes, just a comforting warmth. Letting this one breathe – it was a bit hot initially, but mellowed out wonderfully after a few weeks. The finish is also long and excellent. Tasting Score: 8.9
