The aroma is intriguing and distinctive, presenting notes of peach, white grape, honey, sugar cookie, banana, and pine. You can detect ethanol if you inhale too deeply, but it fades with lighter sniffs. The palate offers vanilla, blood orange, honey glaze, butterscotch, burnt marshmallow, and banana bread. The flavors are rich and bold. A lack of wood presence suggests a younger whiskey. The finish is lengthy and multifaceted, with Concord grape, caramel, orange slice candy, white pepper, and blackberry. Astonishing… elements are still perceptible minutes later. There's also unreduced ethanol contributing an unpleasant, sharp heat. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied yet exceptionally oily and slippery. It's almost like a dessert whiskey, packed with numerous layers of complexity within its sweetness. It could benefit from more woody notes for balance. At $86.99, it's a bit pricey, but still a commendable whiskey that I might repurchase, depending on my existing collection at the time.

It has a lot going on, too much for me to drink neat. But in a cocktail, it's a real surprise. It never hides its flavor and it mingles fantastically with many different mixers.
