Got to taste this at someone's place, and although I don't usually go for tequila, I decided to write a review. The bottle sported a tiny mariachi hat, finishing its look. The aroma is reminiscent of a vanilla cupcake. This isn't your typical tequila to begin with. I'm detecting only the slightest hint of standard agave scents on the nose. The initial taste is surprising given the aroma. It has more of a kick than I anticipate from an anejo. A rather pronounced spicy flavor with subtle vanilla undertones. Generally, I'm not a fan of this one. I've encountered opinions suggesting this rivals Adictivo or Padre Azul, but I don't quite perceive that. It's certainly a distinct style of tequila, yet it lacks the smooth quality I appreciate in anejos and extra anejos. Naturally, consider my perspective with caution, as I'm certainly not a massive tequila enthusiast. It's not awful for a tequila, but it's not something I'd seek out again.
