Bart Tomlin 4.0

Shibui Nokoribi Kara Pure Malt Japanese Whisky, an elegant bottling from Shibui Distillery in Japan, is made from 100% malted barley using a double copper pot still. It's aged in American ex-bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry casks, then finished in Mizunara oak before bottling at 48% ABV. The nose offers notes of grain, wood, herbs, and spices, leading to a rich palate with heather honey, chocolate, coffee malt, and caramel. The balanced finish is of medium length, featuring barley, oak, a hint of peat smoke, and sea spray. July / August 2023
