Nose: Odd. Smells woody and grainy, more like inexpensive blended scotch than brandy. A faint trace of raisins and sugar. It's not unpleasant, and has a strange appeal, but it doesn't resemble brandy. Truly smells like Grant's blended scotch. Palate: I'm unsure what I'm tasting. It's a slightly sweet, vaguely brown sugar and dark fruit flavored alcoholic liquid, but extremely watered down and lacking character. There's a harsh, hot, and brittle alcohol sting, despite being only 74 proof. Finish: Non-existent. Some sweet, sugary notes that fade quickly. No, I hadn't heard of it before either. I bought a small 150ml flask today at the liquor store, wanting a brandy Alexander after work and not wanting to open my only bottle of cognac. There were options a few dollars more expensive, but... oh well. We won't make that mistake again. I attempted to find information on this but there's nothing available. I assume it's the lowest quality French brandy, imported in bulk and given a brand name upon bottling. It tastes like ugni blanc eau-de-vie aged briefly in old casks and perhaps sweetened slightly. The pale straw color supports this. No, I never got my Alexander 😞 "Bad": 52/100 (0.25 stars)
