Russels Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon 10year

The aroma is like woody sawdust with a hint of leather. The taste is subtly sweet vanilla with a possible hint of butterscotch. There's a slight sharpness in the middle, followed by a pleasant burn at the back of the throat. A very good bourbon for the cost. I'll keep this one stocked regularly.

A fantastic sipper for its price. It offers spice and some warm complexity, without being too sweet. The finish is long-lasting. Its pleasant flavor could work well in balanced cocktails, but I prefer it neat. A well-priced, go-to option.

It's acceptable, but not worth the $40.
