This initial bourbon release from Dayton (OH) Barrel Works is remarkably well-executed. It displays a harmonious blend of spice with cinnamon and peppermint, while caramel and vanilla provide a subtle background. The finish is pleasant and sustained. Given it indicates distillation in Indiana, it's likely sourced from Midwest Grain Products, who apparently did an excellent job.
