About this bottle

Roca Patrón Silver Tequila, launched in summer 2014, gets its name "Roca" (Spanish for "rock") from the two-ton stone wheel, or "tahona," used to crush the cooked agaves. This traditional approach, unlike faster and cheaper mechanized roller mills, imparts bitter notes to the final spirit. The juice and fibers from the tahona pressing are included during fermentation and distillation. The Silver bottling is at 90 proof.

So, this is tequila? Delicious! Sweet, with notes of maple syrup, fragrant, that oily scent from citrus peel, the light taste of crème brûlée topping, and vegetal notes swirling around, bringing back memories of my parents' vegetable garden. I don't know much about tequila, but this is a fantastic starting point!

Cary Urena 3.8

The aroma has vanilla and herbal notes with citrus, earthy, and mineral qualities. The palate is rich with vegetal agave and rocky minerals, along with vanilla. The finish is softly peppery. It exhibits very fresh, very young characteristics, dominated by the agave and the mineral essence.

Caitlyn Yoon 4.3

An excellent blanco. It has significantly more character than regular Patron Silver, which, while decent and smooth, is almost entirely lacking complexity. This one is different. Highly recommended.

Jaxon Kendall 4.5

Pricier than the standard version from the main product line, but it has a smooth taste and a higher alcohol content.

James Jaimes 3.0

It definitely has a bit of bite. Good flavor, but a little harsh to drink.
