The proximity to my home drew me to this bourbon. My understanding is that this distillery is among the newer ones experimenting with methods for rapid spirit aging to achieve flavor depth quickly. My initial impression is that one cannot rush nature. The bourbon lacks depth. It's somewhat medicinal at first with little lingering taste. It might be suitable for some cocktails, but neither my wife nor I were impressed with it neat or on the rocks. It's a letdown.
