The smell is light corn, smoke, and a bit of vanilla. On the palate, it's corn up front, with a hint of atmosphere, smoke, and charcoal. I think I like the bourbon better, but it's still good, especially considering the quick aging.
It's young, but a very intriguing whiskey that could benefit from more aging. The nose has caramel notes and possibly some popcorn, along with hints of lilac.
