On the nose I detect ethanol and marshmallows. That ethanol is present on the first sip with a bit more intensity than expected for its proof. There's some sweet spice and toasted marshmallows. The finish is short. It strongly reminds me of Nulu; it seems quite young and somewhat underdeveloped.
The flavor is good, and I'm pleased to have a distillery nearby. I'm rating it a bit lower because, at 87 proof, it feels slightly diluted for my taste.
The alcohol dominates the other flavors. Lots of banana and clove notes with some harshness. It needs more time in the barrel.
Uninteresting. I barely taste anything besides the alcohol.
A very pleasant bourbon. It's light yet has a full flavor.
Considering the proof, it drank well.
