About this bottle

Renegade Rum Distillery, situated in Grenada, emphasizes the island's microclimates and sugarcane varieties. For this expression, they utilized the Cain variety from the Mamo field, located in the Boulders terroir region of Hope Farm. Fresh sugarcane juice was distilled in a pot still and bottled immediately without aging, chill-filtration, coloring, or added sugar. It became available in the U.S. in August 2022, with a price of $65.

Brynn Wheatley 5.0

A fresh, herbal aroma with a bright sugar cane sheen. On tasting, the initial impression is crisp and warm with a somewhat sweet character, but the cane and the water used for dilution are the stars here. There's an intimacy and immediacy that transports you to the island's sunshine. A very long finish leads to a slightly dry, chalky end. Overall, it's exceptionally elegant, yet authentic to its origins. Excellent for use in rum-focused cocktails.
