I used to like all the redwood products except the 90 proof pipe dream. I was doubtful but tried the 101 and it's excellent. I don't always think higher proof improves my experience (like the highest proof ECBP aren't usually the best), but it did this time.
The aroma is fantastic, with vanilla bean and thick caramel, similar to a root beer candy! The palate offers nutmeg and oak spice, leading to a spicy, medium finish. This is the best Redwood Empire I've had!
Neat: Flavors of fruit, vanilla, caramel, with a hot alcoholic presence and cocoa. Good.
