This Kentucky straight bourbon, Rebellion Bourbon, is crafted with a mash bill composed of roughly 70% corn and 30% rye and malted barley. Following distillation in copper-pot stills, the whiskey matures for a minimum of six years in charred American oak casks.

The aroma is sweet with a whisper of spice. It begins somewhat dull but concludes robustly with a spicy sensation. Notes of leather and oil are present. The potent flavor is surprising considering the alcohol content.
Sweet corn, grain, and corn syrup dominate the aroma and taste. The finish brings a significant alcohol sting and unpleasant bitterness. You can find superior whiskeys at this price point.
I experienced this back in my university days at the rugby house. The impact of its flavor hit me harder than a tackle from the team's prop could!
