The aroma is sweet, with cherry and vanilla notes. On the palate, there's a touch of spice, more vanilla, and some dark fruits like stewed plums. The finish is remarkably dry for a bourbon, with a dusty dryness that was quite pleasing. Bourbon typically isn't my preference; it often feels too 'hot' and sweet for me. Nevertheless, I found this dram to be enjoyable. It's drier and more tannic than the usual bourbon, which, in my opinion, works in its favor.
