After being open for several months, about a quarter of the bottle remains. The aroma offers overripe and underripe bananas, celery, caramel, vanilla, molasses, honey, some intriguing spices I cannot identify, and an odd funkiness, not quite like Jamaican rums. It's not incredibly appealing, yet it's very captivating, and I find myself drawn to it repeatedly, much like a dog returning to a soiled chew toy. On the palate, it's semi-sweet and somewhat thick with brown sugar, caramel, vanilla, baking spices, bananas, and other light tropical fruits, along with those unusual spice notes and hints of celery. The finish is medium in length with lingering spices and a touch of that peculiar funkiness.
