After sampling multiple full-bodied, tasty rums, I gave this another shot. It's a solid, uncomplicated, and well-rounded rum. While no single flavor particularly grabs my attention, that's a positive in this instance. It's light in body but really shows off the Plantation range.

About this bottle
This rum, distilled in Barbados in the year 2000, is a combination of spirits produced in pot and column stills. Initial maturation occurred in casks that previously held American whiskey and sherry before being sent to France. Subsequently, the Plantation rums are transferred to former cognac casks for further aging in the cellars of Cognac.

This is an excellent Plantation rum, fitting well within its outstanding collection. It has some sweetness, but less than the pineapple version. A great rum for sipping and also suitable for cocktails that don't require a white rum.
A very nice rum, not overly sweet but possessing pleasant aromas.
