About this bottle
Planteray Barbados 2011, a vintage bottling within the Birds of Paradise limited edition series, displays a brown pelican on its packaging. Produced at the West Indies Rum Distillery, this rum is a blend of both column-distilled and Gregg Farm pot still spirits. It spent 4.5 years aging in ex-bourbon barrels in a secluded room at WIRD, followed by another 4.5 years in ex-Maison Ferrand cognac barrels in France. Just 24 casks were made, and the rum was bottled at 51.1% ABV in August 2021.
