India Broderick 4.0

An elegant Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey from Castle & Key Distillery, made with a mash bill of 75% corn, 15% rye, and 10% malted barley. It was aged for at least 4 years in American white oak barrels and bottled at 49% ABV. Its aromatic profile features notes of grains, wood, fruits, flowers, nuts, herbs, and spices. The balanced mid-palate offers notes of red apple, banana, orange blossom, butterscotch, toasted coconut, almond, walnut, and a hint of sassafras, leading to a slightly spicy, medium-length finish with notes of toasted oak, nutmeg, cinnamon, coffee, and a touch of citrus.

Day No. 18 I'm two days behind on reviews, but I'm tasting these on the correct days. Lots of holiday activity. Putting that aside, this is my first from this distillery. My initial impression was spicy apples, with 'spicy' referring to a slight ethanol note. There were occasional hints of vanilla and a nutty quality. Not bad, considering it seemed a bit young.

Gus Merino 4.3

The aroma is full of fresh apples with hints of vanilla. The palate offers much more fresh, sweet apples. The finish presents notes of a spiced banana nut loaf. It's a smooth, rich, sweet drink.

Day 18 of Advent. The liquid is a clear amber with medium legs. It smells sweet, nutty, bready, fruity, and of vanilla. The taste brings toffee, bread, fruit, and caramel. It has a medium to full body with a low to moderate warmth. 8/4/8/4/17 4.2

Curious. Pleasant and mellow with a subtle salty essence and a whisper of peanut. A good choice for slow drinking...

Alex Manley 3.5

Very distinctive tastes. I detect honey, white bread, and fresh apples.
