This is a unique single barrel pick. Nose: High-proof heat with some caramel/butterscotch sweetness and undertones of green apple. Perhaps (very tentatively) some mint. Palate: The high proof and caramel carry over to coat the tongue all the way to the back of the throat, leaving some light oak back there with it. Apple sweetness floats lightly around the mid-palate atop the lingering baking spices. The long finish is welcome because of its warm pie intimation.

The color is pale. The aroma is strong, featuring prominent notes of fruit (orange and cherry), possibly some fig newton, and young grain. It's young but not significantly so. It's definitely sweet, with a noticeable honey note. The finish is short to medium. A pleasant first experience with the Pinhook line.
Blind tasted this along with two other bourbons. This ranked #2 in my mind. Little order, spicy at first. After an ice cube the sweetness exploded.
Smell: spice notes and honey, pleasantly sweet without alcohol sting. Sip: candy that tastes like butterscotch. Aftertaste: refreshing with the warmth of a sweet baked dessert. I'm truly taken aback by how excellent this turned out.
Nose: apricot, floral, some peachy/fruity deliciousness. Vanilla and fluffy. Very appealing. Butterscotch finish!
Smooth drinking, good flavor and mild on the bite even at 100proof
