Pickering's Gin

About this bottle

In 2014, business partners Marcus Pickering and Matthew Gammell founded Summerhall Distillery, releasing Pickering's Gin a year later. This marked the first gin production in Edinburgh in nearly 150 years. The recipe is based on a 1947 Bombay formula, preserved as a family secret until the distillery's inception. Starting with a grain spirit, nine botanicals—juniper, coriander, cardamom, angelica, fennel, anise, lemon, lime, and cloves—are macerated for 24 hours. The gin is then distilled in a 500-liter copper still and bottled at 42% ABV.
