Penta Tequila Añejo is crafted from 100% blue weber agave, sourced from Jalisco, Guanajuato, Michoacán, Nayarit, and Tamaulipas, the five official tequila production zones (the name "penta" derives from the Greek word for "five"). The production involves both champagne and tequila yeast, combining double and triple distillation of the agave. For the Añejo expression, the tequila undergoes a 14-month aging period in a combination of new and previously used American, Hungarian, and French oak barrels.
