PAU Maui Vodka

A crisp, fruit-infused Vodka from the LeVecke Family & Mark Nigbur, creators of the Hali’imaile Distilling Company in Maui, crafted from pineapples. Pineapple remnants from local processing plants are fermented with natural yeasts. Mark's distinctive glass stills filter the resulting Spirit through volcanic rock and charcoal as it exits, reaching 95.5% ABV in a single pass. It is then diluted to 40% using pure, local spring water. It has a delicate beginning with tropical fruit notes; its rich and delicate progression adds citrus, pineapple, coconut, and strawberry flavors; leading to a smooth and refreshing end with a hint of oak and biscuit. I sampled this at the distillery and purchased a smaller bottle. It's smooth with a subtle hint of pineapple sweetness. Served over ice, it would be perfect for warm weather.

Smooth and brief, it greets the tongue with a sweet, semi-creamy sensation. The aroma is clean; a very pleasing drink overall.

Silky and smooth with a subtle sweetness on the tongue, followed by a slight alcohol sting in the brief finish.

Smoothly burns, but I don't detect any pineapple, which I was hoping for.

Extremely neutral. Almost concerningly so. Definitely recommended.
