The 18th Parker's Heritage edition is a collaboration with Master Blender Alain Royer. It features a 14-year-old Kentucky Straight Malt Whiskey (mash bill: 65% malted barley, 35% corn), which was filled into 128 barrels in March 2009. Subsequently, the whiskey was transferred to 56 larger, reconstructed cognac barrels with heavily toasted staves for an additional four months. Presented at 107 proof and without chill-filtration, it will be available in limited quantities starting in September 2024. (SRP $169.99)

I was expecting something similar to scotch, but it didn't quite deliver. It's acceptable, not living up to the hype, and tastes more like a bourbon. The mid-palate has an unpleasant bitterness.
Smells of charcoal, soy, cinnamon, aged cheese, apple, pear, pickle brine, and leather. The taste is sharp with notes of leather, cinnamon, oak.
Tasted neat with a friend: crème brûlée, soy sauce, apple, cherries, pears, and I will revisit it.
This is fantastic. It’s a traditional musty whiskey with notes of stone fruit and a satisfyingly long finish.
Very happy to have acquired this bottle. A well-executed pour, traditional malt profile.
