About this bottle
Casey Overeem led Old Hobart Distillery, a family-run operation, after obtaining his distilling license in 2005. He studied at 15 Scottish distilleries to refine his skills. The initial release of the Bourbon Cask, limited to 170 bottles, represented the start of what could be Australia's premier whisky. Lark Distillery purchased Old Hobart in 2014, though both operate independently. The Overeem Bourbon Cask is aged for at least 5 years in American oak ex-bourbon casks, is non-chill filtered, and is presented at cask strength (the standard 86 proof is unavailable until 2020). It can be found in select bars and liquor stores in Australia, the UK, and the Netherlands.
