Old Elk Slow Cut Blended Straight Bourbon is a blend of their signature high-malt mash bill, aged 4-7 years, combined with select straight bourbons from Old Elk. The "Slow Cut" designation refers to the brand's extended proofing method, which takes weeks instead of days by adding water gradually to maintain a cool temperature. This new core product replaces the Old Elk Blended Straight Bourbon and will be available nationwide in February 2025 at a suggested retail price of $39.99.

(Update) Wow, this opened up, and if you enjoy walnut, it offers an elegant journey through all the flavors, also featuring a well-integrated mix of caramel, maple, and a drying tobacco note. It goes down very easily due to the slow cut process and could be a bargain at its suggested retail price. Be cautious of the neck pour!
Sweet and smooth. I can't quite place the flavors, but it's very enjoyable.
