Old Dominick Huling Station Single Barrel is a bourbon that pays tribute to the D. Canale & Co. warehouse at Huling Station in Memphis, Tennessee, where spirits from Domenico Canele were stored around 1866. This bourbon features a high-rye mash bill and is produced as a single barrel selection to evoke that historical style.

A gift, I didn't know much about it, and my expectations were low. I was pleasantly surprised by this solid bourbon that meets the criteria for a good sipper. It had a light cinnamon note that was memorable and enjoyable. Excellent on its own and also works well in an Old Fashioned.
The initial taste offers a mild, sweet caramel, followed by sweet southern corn; then immediately by a subtle rye spice. This fine expression is bottled at cask strength yet offers a smooth character for its high proof. A well-balanced and smooth Memphis bourbon whiskey.
Incredible rye flavor! This Bourbon is amazing, with strong rye notes balanced by bourbon/corn sweetness and smoothness. Absolutely fantastic. I'm looking for a backup bottle.
The beginning is fantastic and full of flavor, but the end is less impressive. It's just heat going down without much depth. Still a respectable drink, though.
Corn on the nose. Potent and lasting spice on the palate. Definitely more powerful than the regular Huling Station, but not necessarily superior.
Initial tasting reveals rye, corn, sweetness, and brown sugar. A spicy finish.
