The nose has sweet caramel, orange, and subtle raw vanilla, while the palate offers sweet vanilla and light milk chocolate. The finish is long with charred vanilla barrel notes.
Outstanding whiskey. As age-stated bottles of 12+ years are disappearing, make sure to appreciate bottles like this one when you have the chance.
Experienced this at a bar in Lake Placid and was impressed by the complexity of taste and enduring finish. Old Carter certainly knows their craft!
