Old Carter 13 Year American Whiskey Batch 5 (2021 Release)

Exceptional. Possesses qualities reminiscent of bourbon, rye, and rum, with notes of bread pudding soaked in whiskey caramel sauce, cherry cola, maple syrup, hazelnuts, nutmeg, root beer, cinnamon, molasses, chocolate chip banana bread, cloves, Black Forest cake, licorice, pecan pie, and candied orange peels, complemented by a buttery mouthfeel and a long finish.

Really disappointed by how bland this pour was. Mostly ethanol and oil—not much else happening. After hearing/reading all the hype, I'm wondering if it was just this specific bottle...
