April 2025 - Poker Night - Nancy Amber color, viscous, with visible alcohol on the glass. Nose of spiced rum, citrus, and sugar... First sip is sweet and smooth, caressing the palate like a devoted young woman comforting a man returning from a long journey, yearning for feminine affection. Second sip offers a mild spiciness. Third sip is herbaceous, very potent, and lingers long on the tongue... This third sip is truly remarkable! It's the first herbaceous whisky I've ever tasted! Not bad at all! Very surprising. An innovative and highly original whisky. After losing two cellars' worth of wine at poker, it was time to recoup some funds and find some worthy sustenance. May the poker gods aid me. The table is set, the players are weak, and the chips beckon... I hope this whisky grants me a second wind and the strength of Irish souls to snatch those chips that call to me like alluring sirens on uncertain seas... 5 AM... I lost four cellars' worth. The card gods were definitely not on my side tonight. Fortunately, Bacchus always covers my back and provided a highly interesting whisky discovery to salvage my evening.
