Grain component: Aged in virgin oak, finished in ex-bourbon casks. Malt component: Aged in ex-bourbon casks, finished in Jamaican rum casks. Matured for 4 years. Nose: Sweet, spicy (cloves), toffee, vanilla, buttered popcorn Palate: Vanilla, creamy, sweet, apple, and spices Finish: Salty, buttery. A sour aftertaste. Slightly numbing. Long finish. This tied for first place among the six whiskies tasted, with 23% of the votes for favorite of the evening. (68% of attendees indicated they enjoyed the whiskey). All the whiskies were very close in scoring, but this one was chosen as the winner for the night after a tie-breaker vote.

Smell: sweet, molasses, fruit Taste: caramel, vanilla, fruit Finish: short but sweet
It's easy to drink and not harsh, especially for a cask strength offering. Definitely worth a try.
