Served neat. The nose immediately presents a bubble gum aroma, which is hard to ignore. I've never experienced this flavor before. Some vanilla is present in the background. I don't detect much else on the nose. The texture is light. The taste is accessible and straightforward, with sweetness upfront. Bright notes, with vanilla leading. The bubble gum flavors persist in the legs. A hint of allspice on further sips. For a 'high rye,' the spice is considerably subdued. This sits in an unusual place for me. I could happily drink this all day, but it doesn't excite me. It's approachable, with no unpleasant characteristics, but nothing exceptional either. It's interesting enough that I'll keep an eye on this distiller.

Drunk neat. Opened more than 6 months ago. I recall not being overly impressed with this pour initially. With time on the shelf, the aroma is decent. Corn and dry hay in a barn. Watermelon Starburst. Vanilla. It's blended but not unpleasant. It's light but not watery on the tongue. Cinnamon sugar at the forefront. It transitions to bubble gum and that watermelon Starburst flavor. I'm not fond of that bubble gum note when I encounter it. It seems to happen more often with young craft whiskey. This is not intended for neat consumption. It's a mixing bourbon, for sure.
The aroma is nice, but it doesn't compare to the other spirit I had last night.
A bit dull, with a slight sting.
