This Kentucky wheated bourbon is sourced and features a mash bill comprising 51% corn, 45% wheat, and 4% malted barley. Its proofing in Austin, Texas, uses limestone-filtered water from the Texas Hill Country, resulting in a 90 proof (45% ABV) product. The brand name references the nine-banded armadillo, Texas's state small mammal, and pays homage to the Armadillo World Headquarters, a former prominent music venue in Austin.

It's warm and consistently very smooth. I detect fresh wood and some grassy notes. It's quite similar to a smooth Scotch. There are also some stone fruit flavors. It's good for drinking neat and for individuals new to bourbon. It's likely not ideal for mixing.
Sweet and light. It drinks more like a Scotch than a bourbon, but there are superior Scotches and bourbons within this price bracket. It requires a few more years of aging to make my "purchase again" list.
I'm only getting wood and honey from this. Acetone on the finish. For the price, I believe there are significantly better bourbons available.
It has complexity with a well-rounded finish. It feels stronger than it tastes, with 58 proof but not tasting like it. Very intriguing.
Smooth oak and honey. Neither too strong nor too weak. A slightly lingering dry finish. Excellent for daily enjoyment.
