It's quite straightforward yet intense, both in an excellent way. Each sip compels you to return for more, evoking a desire for the intensity. The finish is medium and peppery, with a lingering rye and charred oak as the palate becomes quite dry. There might be a hint of smoke as it all fades. Overall, this doesn't demand much contemplation. It's delicious and bold, fulfilling the requirements of a wonderfully spicy bourbon.
