Limited details available for this bottle. It's a KSBW aged for three years in American white oak, with a final maturation in Navigator Red Wine Barrels. Precision Wine (Navigator) is advertising an upcoming "Barrel Bomb" wine, described as "High-quality Kentucky Bourbon aged for three years in New American oak, which is transferred to french oak wine barrels inside of which Cabernet and Red blends were initially matured. That wine is then transferred back into those very same Bourbon Barrels to enhance the wine." I believe this is the Bourbon they utilized. A strong red wine influence is present in what smells and tastes like Basil Hayden bourbon. Acceptable for sipping on its own. I wouldn't buy it at the regular price, but it's definitely worth it with the significant discount offered at BevMo.

River Gonzalez 3.3

It's an acceptable bourbon, and the influence from the wine barrel is quite apparent. It would be better if it spent less time in the Cabernet barrel, as the wine notes tend to dominate the bourbon character. It drinks better on the rocks than neat.

Axel Gustafson 3.8

Aroma: Caramel, vanilla, faint cinnamon. Palate: Sweetness at first, caramel, with a dark fruit finish. Overall: A solid bourbon. You can taste the influence of the wine barrels; I'd recommend it. It's not overly complicated.

Sharon Switzer 3.3

A respectable whiskey with a noticeable wine influence. The lower alcohol content makes it somewhat delicate, but it's an excellent choice for beginners.

Neil Shanks 3.5

Salty biscuit on the nose, followed by a punch of cherry and dried fruits that fades into an oaky cinnamon finish.

Lori Tran 2.8

An unusual flavor. Spicy at the start and finish. It's probably best suited for cocktails to help mellow it out.
