Military Special Kentucky Straight Bourbon

You might initially think, “What have I done?” This is going to taste unpleasant. But no, this spirit was discreetly produced by Heaven Hill and is a hidden gem for those in the know. Aroma: sweet caramel, vanilla, and leather. Taste: [explicit descriptions referring to music, personal attributes, historical figures, political figures, and anatomical references].

Barely any aroma, unless you inhale deeply. The flavor is unexpectedly decent, not bad as I suspected, but rather less flavorful than most flavored waters. It only presents grain notes, with hardly any wood character. If this is used in cocktails (its only practical use from now on), the amount will likely need to be doubled to achieve any good taste from this 3-year-old, 80-proof bourbon.

The initial aroma suggested kerosene. However, the flavor was surprisingly smooth with minimal burn. It followed a tasting of another spirit.

It brings to mind that lyric from the Kid Rock song, “been filling up on cocaine and whiskey.”
