Toasted marshmallow nose. Definitely more of a bourbon nose with some rye spice on the back end. Very powerful and complex palate. Toasted graham cracker and caramelized sugar. I don’t like ryes but this is one I’ll look out for. I use the rating scale below. The distiller uses a scale of 5 and I use a scale of 10, but I’m sure you’re not too drunk to do the math! 1. Disgusting - So bad I poured it out. 2. Poor - I wouldn't consume by choice. 3. Bad - Multiple flaws. 4. Below average - Not bad, but many things I'd rather have. 5. Good - Just average. 6. Very Good - Better than average. 7. Great - Well above average. 8. Excellent - In a league of its own. 9. Incredible - An all-time favorite. 10. Perfect

Misty Ashby 4.5

This one is intense. The sweet smoky aftertaste is distinctive and very enjoyable. It feels somewhat out of balance due to the strong bite, but the finish is pleasant, offering one of my favorite tastes. I'm sure a little water would soften it, but for $80, that shouldn't be necessary...

Compared to the 2017 release, this is smokier and drier. The nose has toasted oak. Campfire is the dominant flavor. Marshmallow and rye spice are present in the finish. Overall, I find this a bit too dry; a touch more sweetness would greatly improve it. Barrel 20H1757. Proof 110.2.

Delmar Burns 4.3

This was pretty unique in my opinion Nose: Smoky, crazy tobacco note, and spices. Palate: Sweeter than it smells, brown sugar and spices with a bit of a black tea note. Finish: Sweet brown sugar dominant. You know it’s a rye, but that toasted barrel really sweetens it up.

Brad Warner 4.3

Lovely medium tawny hue, perfectly clear. The aroma offers sweet corn, molasses, vanilla, baking spices, toasted grains, and sugared dried fruits. The taste follows with dried fruits, molasses, vanilla, and toasted grain. It has a strong, lingering, hot finish. Fantastic!
