Michter's holds a claim as one of America's oldest whiskey producers, with roots possibly tracing back to Schenk's or Bomberger's. Originally crafted in Pennsylvania's Blue Mountain Valley, it is said to have been favored by soldiers at Valley Forge. This particular release features a predominantly corn mash bill, aged in carefully selected new, charred oak barrels.

From the 2020 bottling. This was the best in a strong lineup. It enters the barrel at a lower proof (104) and finishes around 114. It's completely smooth. The aroma is like herbal tea. Flavors include candied orange and honeysuckle. The finish has wood notes, but not overwhelmingly so, with a light cinnamon stick, and it lasts a long time. It's absolutely fantastic.
The finest bourbon I've ever had, served by the person overseeing its maturation. It was an extraordinary experience.
Not particularly special. It's rather smooth and a bit potent going down. Pleasant aroma, but nothing remarkable.
Brown sugar and cocaine. Possibly the best aroma on earth. (This was an '08 bottling).
