Hints of raisin and licorice are also detected. Flavor & Texture: Freshly brewed drip-filter coffee is balanced by a sweet, slightly leathery brandy. It's very sweet, but not cloyingly so; the sweetness is balanced by grape components and a faint orange note. The palate concludes with a fairly long finish, becoming richer with a chocolate aftertaste. The coffee and brandy elements are distinct yet harmonize well, and the texture is rich and smooth. Compared to many coffee liqueurs, which often consist of coffee essence in neutral spirits with corn syrup, this liqueur combines coffee extract and cognac, resulting in a more intricate and gratifying character. Both the coffee and cognac are of good quality and well-balanced. This is an intricate, well-rounded, and engaging coffee liqueur.
