Mb Rolland malted bourbon

A pleasant initial bouquet of aromas, not harsh, good neat, with spice at the end - I'm enjoying it. It develops slowly and finishes smoothly and fully - the best part is the absence of any orange flavor. The sweetness is reminiscent of something, perhaps toasted marshmallow, but it's not quite that. My rating isn't high considering the price; if it were in the $30 range, I'd rate it much higher. Batch #9, featuring 63% malted barley, 21% white corn, and 15% rye, at 108.4 proof.

Significantly smoother than the 54.2% ABV would suggest. Tastes like a toasted nutty candy bar with chocolate and caramel. A lasting sweetness and a subtle rye spice at the end, but not peppery. More of a gentle warmth on the back of the tongue after the toffee and chocolate.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Notable barley with corn and rye notes. Deep color and a robust, lingering finish.

Smooth, great malted flavor provides balance and a nice conclusion. I’m liking the malt....
